About Me
Hello World; I’m from Tokyo, Japan, currently based in California after completing a B.A. in film and new media studies in the Northeast United States. My interest as an artist is exploring the potential of film beyond the traditional narrative forms, such as art film and documentary. A series of moving images creates a story – film acts as a vessel to convey ideas and messages.
I have been moving since I was little and the world has been constantly changing around me. I try to make sense of my version of “the world” by channeling those experiences in film and digital arts. I love exploring the world of Salvador Dalí’s surrealism, as well as Franz Kafka’s philosophy on existentialism.
The question is not what are we, it’s what else can we be?
